All three of these tracks are fine examples of how well David Bowie can assimilate musical styles and still make them sound like he invented them. Some of the other track don't fare as well. "Without You" is a love song with a softer melody and somewhat slower pace. It's a good song, but somehow seems out of place on this album.

Feb 17,  · In a way, too much has been said of Bowie’s album, Let’s Dance. People opposedly claiming the album ended Bowie’s pristine run of rock albums, breaking the successful Bowie character, it was a bad album, it was a great dance album, it was innovative, it was formulaic; but no doubt it was a commercial success/5(K).

The album was co-produced by Nile Rodgers; his Chic bandmates Bernard Edwards and Tony Thompson assist him here. In fact, you could say this is a Chic track with David Bowie rather than Alfa Anderson, Luci Martin and Norma Jean Wright on vocals.

Lets Dance [CASSETTE] Reissued David Bowie Format: Audio Cassette. Without you - ohne dieses Album wären die 80er anders, sprich fader verlaufen: eine Blaupause quslitätsvoller Tanzmusik. David Bowie's Lets Dance was well known years before I saw him even and that was decades ago. Songs such as CAT PEOPLE are so old now in fact /5().
