    Find album reviews, stream songs, credits and award information for A's, 's "Do You Love Me," which now makes its CD debut here, and besides, two CDs of Mud can be a daunting prospect for the average consumer. Hacking away the dead wood that preceded and followed the band's greatest-hits .

    Mud were one of those bands that made the 's fun. This album captures the brilliant fun sound of the glam rock era perfectly. Most of the tracks are there and still sound great today. The only single that is missing from this album is L.L L. Lucy, which is a pity. A must for those who loved the music of Mud/5(16).

    Mud were very successful for a time in the mid-seventies, having about a dozen hits, of which most of them made the UK top ten and three went all the way to the top. Their biggest hit was Tiger feet but the song they are now perhaps best known for, Lonely this Christmas, is not included although it can be found on any number of British /5().

    Although it has since been thoroughly superseded by such collections as EMI's Gold Collection and Repertoire's The Singles ''78, Mud's Greatest Hits album remains the most successful and fondly remembered of all the band's hit compilations. A number 25 U.K. hit in time for Christmas , Greatest Hits wrapped up all 11 of Mud's U.K. hits for the RAK label that brought the band to fame.

    Mud will be forever remembered affectionately for their pop rock classics Dyna-mite, Lonely This Christmas and Tiger Feet at the height of the early s glam rock era. Associated with lively, upbeat material, they enjoyed their greatest successes courtesy of the hugely commercial songwriting team of Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman.
