King responds, "Suddenly I see you pulling in the driveway. I can't wait to hold you & it doesn't matter now." Then their voices blend and let you float onto a sonic highway. "Love Makes the World" is still worth hearing! Carole King is the greatest woman songwriter of the 20th century. This CD is a wonderful addition to her work/5(37).

Bouncing around smaller indie labels in the '90s after a few failed albums on majors, Carole King rebounded with this self-released disc on her own Rockingale (an anagram of Carole King and a takeoff on her song "Nightingale") imprint. Although it's not a totally successful return to her past triumphs, the disc is one of her best post-'70s albums and occasionally even rivals her most.
